Sport for All project kicks off in Minsk

Sport for All project kicks off in Minsk
1 Jun 2025
The large-scale Sport for All project of the Presidential Sports Club was launched in a new format at the October Revolution's 50th Anniversary Park in Minsk on 1 June.

"For the first time, over the course of three months every weekend at the same time, around 20 activities will be available at five locations in Minsk for anyone, regardless of age. Children and adults will receive professional outdoor training completely free of charge. No sports equipment is required, just comfortable athletic shoes and clothing," Assistant to the chairman of the Presidential Sports Club Pavel Yegorov said.

Organizers have prepared more than 20 free training sessions, interactive activities, quests, obstacle courses, and the race Childhood at the Start. Some 20 bicycles will be raffled off to mark the 20th anniversary of the Presidential Sports Club.

The festival will take place at five locations, including not only the October Revolution's 50th Anniversary Park, but also the Extreme Sports Park, the Hugo Chavez Park, beach No. 4 at the Tsnyanskoye Water Reservoir, and the Drozdy Two beach. At each site, visitors will also have the chance to win a bicycle.

Every weekend throughout the summer, different districts of Minsk will host free training sessions in over 15 sports, ranging from yoga and badminton to Zumba and basketball. Supporters of an active and healthy lifestyle will receive guidance and advice from professional trainers, as well as gifts.

The Sport for All project of the Presidential Sports Club began in 2021 as an effort to enhance sports infrastructure. Since then, 115 modern multifunctional sports complexes have been built in Belarusian regions, and 55 more will be installed this summer. The success of the sports weekends in Minsk may determine whether similar activities will be introduced in regional areas.
