Yermoshina: Every observer’s complaint is promptly addresed

MINSK, 11 September (BelTA) - Every complaint from observers is promptly looked into, Chairperson of Belarus’ Central Election Commission (CEC) Lidia Yermoshina told media on 11 September, BelTA has learned.

“As for complaints, all of them concerned the accreditation of certain observers at polling stations. All of them were promptly addressed. The CEC immediately looks into the cases where observers’ rights are violated,” Lidia Yermoshina said.

In her words, there were no elections-related incidents throughout the previous night. “According to the emergency response center of the Interior Ministry, the atmosphere was calm, all polling stations are in good order and condition and opened for voting on 11 September,” Lidia Yermoshina added.

The CEC head also pointed to a good and friendly atmosphere at polling stations.

The CEC information center will provide the latest updates on the election process in the country. “International observers are invited to express their opinions as well,” Lidia Yermoshina said.
