Belarusians thanked for supporting country's current development course

MINSK, 12 September (BelTA) – On behalf of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko Head of the Belarus President Administration Alexander Kosinets thanked Belarusians for taking an active part in the election campaign, supporting the country's current development course as he talked to reporters after the meeting with Alexander Lukashenko on 12 September, BelTA informs.

“I should say that all of us did a good job. First of all, I would like to thank the residents of Minsk and all regions of Belarus,” Alexander Kosinets said. “Partaking in the elections were 62.1% of Minsk residents, and up to 80% of people in oblast capitals. The elections are recognized valid. I congratulate everyone, firs of all, those candidates who became MPs. I wish them success in their new role as MPs. On behalf of the Belarusian President I thank all Belarusians for taking an active part in the election campaign, supporting the country's current development course.”

The head of the Belarus President administration stressed that there were provocation attempts but they were prevented. He also emphasized that it is for the first elections ever when the Belarus President Administration has not received any complaints. There were 50 calls to the Central Election Commission from those whose names were in provisional voting lists instead of main voting lists.

Alexander Kosinets said that necessary conditions for the participation in the elections were created in the country and abroad. Colossal work, including communication and information one, was done to organize the elections.
