MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko received detailed reports from Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin and State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich on 15 October, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.
The prime minister’s report covered topical items on the domestic agenda and interaction with Belarus’ key partners in foreign economy matters. Results of Aleksandr Turchin’s meeting with Russian Industry and Trade Minister Anton Alikhanov in the morning on 15 October were also mentioned.
The overall performance of Belarus’ manufacturing sector was one of the key items covered by the report. In particular, a decrease in output (due to objective and subjective reasons) and a decrease in export in January-August 2025 according to statistics were mentioned. The president urged the prime minister to seriously take care of this economy branch and direct attention to this matter.
The head of state made a number of personnel appointments on 13 October. Taking into account that event the tasks faced by the Belarusian light industry and by individual enterprises where new managers have been appointed were discussed in detail.
The key topic covered by the report by State Secretary of the Security Council Aleksandr Volfovich was the surprise test of Belarus’ Armed Forces authorized by the president. Peculiarities of the second stage of the test and the first results as a whole were discussed. The matters the president had previously urged to pay close attention to were also touched upon: the use of drones and radioelectronic warfare solutions; the experience of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, which should be taken into account in the course of training Belarusian army personnel.
