Lukashenko to participate in Youth. Belarus. Future forum on People’s Unity Day

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will take part in the youth forum Youth. Belarus. Future, BelTA has learned.

The large-scale event is dedicated to People’s Unity Day and will take place in the Sports Palace in Minsk. The forum will bring together young workers, students of higher education institutions, leaders and creators, volunteers and specialists.

The event is built around six themed blocks: “Heroism”, “Peacefulness”, “Diligence”, “National heritage”, “The role of the Belarusian woman”, “Youth”.

BelTA’s interactive exhibition “One country – one fate” is also presented in the Sports Palace ahead of People’s Unity Day. It reflects traditions and the meaning of one of the key celebrations of Belarusian statehood. The exposition includes several components: posters with photos and archive materials, a media corner, an electronic history quiz, a virtual tour, an interactive platform.

In his congratulatory message to Belarusians on the occasion of People’s Unity Day the head of state stressed that 17 September 1939 is a dramatic yet heroic page. By turning this page, the nation united and grew stronger. “Today we celebrate a holiday that symbolizes national dignity and historical justice. For centuries these values have brought us closer together and made us stronger,” the message reads.
