MINSK, 24 July (BelTA) - A phone conversation between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev took place on 24 July, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The heads of state coordinated their positions on the implementation of the agreements reached during the recent official visit of the president of Uzbekistan to Belarus. The parties have issued the necessary instructions to fill the strategic partnership format with practical interaction and concrete mutually beneficial projects. Work in this direction is proceeding as actively as possible, including investment cooperation in agriculture and other areas.
Aleksandr Lukashenko and Shavkat Mirziyoyev reaffirmed the need for the full-scale implementation of the approved roadmap for cooperation for 2026–2030, which should help achieve bilateral trade of $2 billion. The heads of state emphasized the importance of further strengthening interregional cooperation.
The president of Belarus also extended birthday greetings to the president of Uzbekistan.
