Lukashenko headed to Myanmar for official visit

MINSK, 27 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has left for the Republic of the Union of Myanmar on an official visit, that will take place on 27-28 November, BelTA has learned.

Official negotiations, initially in a narrow format followed by an expanded one, will be held in the capital of Myanmar, Naypyidaw.

The Belarusian head of state and Acting President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Administration Council Min Aung Hlaing will discuss promising areas of bilateral interaction and the implementation of joint projects. The talks will also cover the development of cooperation in agriculture and food security, industry, and pharmaceuticals.

A major part of the agenda is also devoted to humanitarian cooperation.

The parties will review the progress in implementing the agreements reached during the high-level talks in Minsk in March and June 2025.

The signing of a number of bilateral documents is planned, with the main one being a roadmap for cooperation development between Belarus and Myanmar for 2026-2028.
