MINSK, 14 September (BelTA) - The third session of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress will be held in Minsk on 17-18 December 2026. This is set out in an order signed by Chairman of the Belarusian People’s Congress Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
Since 2024, the Belarusian People’s Congress has held a session every year in its constitutional status. This year is an anniversary for the Congress - 30 years since the first gathering took place in October 1996.
The Belarusian People’s Congress is the highest representative body of people’s power of the Republic of Belarus, determining the strategic directions of the development of society and the state, ensuring the inviolability of the constitutional order, the continuity of generations and civil accord.
