Belarus, Latvia review joint preparations for 2021 IIHF World Championship

MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) - Belarusian Ambassador to Latvia Vasily Markovich and Riga Mayor Oleg Burov discussed the status of joint preparations for the upcoming IIHF World Championship in 2021, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Embassy in Latvia.

The parties also considered the development of cooperation between Minsk and Riga in economy, culture and education, including certain projects and activities.

The Belarusian ambassador thanked the mayor for his support in popularizing Belarusian culture and preserving the identity of Latvian Belarusians and for the attention paid to the Yanka Kupala Belarusian school in Riga.
