The humanitarian project “Social Taxi" is offered for co-financing

Project name: Social taxi

Implementation period: 12 months

Applicant: State institution "Territorial Center of Social Services of Volkovysk District"

Project objective: To provide affordable transport services to disabled people with category I and II disabilities, wheelchair users, people with disabilities of the muscular-skeletal system living in Volkovysk District in order to increase the level of social integration through social taxi services.

Project goals:
To expand the list of services in the state institution "Territorial Center of Social Services for the Population of the Volkovysk District" by providing a social taxi service;
To organize an information campaign to promote non-remunerated, charitable social taxi transport services for children with disabilities, children in wheelchairs, wheelchair users, people with disabilities of the muscular-skeletal system and their families;
To provide free transport services to children with disabilities, children in wheelchairs, wheelchair users, people with disabilities of the muscular-skeletal system and their families;

Target group: Children with disabilities, children in wheelchairs, wheelchair users, people with disabilities of the muscular-skeletal system and their families living in Volkovysk District.

Short description of the activities: 
-  acquisition of specialized vehicles;
 - carrying out the necessary procedures to launch social taxi service (register a vehicle in a notary's office, carry out vehicle diagnostics, seal the speedometer, insure a car, issue permission to allow a vehicle to participate in road traffic, enter into an agreement with the driver);
 - organization of the dispatcher's workplace (renting a room and purchasing of a telephone, computer, copier, desktop, chair for the operator);
  - creating a computer database for quantitative and qualitative accounting of the project implementation and the services provided;
 - carrying out an information campaign about social taxi in mass media;
 - provision of transport services to persons with disabilities;
 
This project is aimed at solving social problems related to the accessibility of the living environment in Volkovysk District of disabled people with category I disabilities (714 people) and category II disabilities (1,415 people), including those with lesions of the muscular-skeletal system.
