Humanitarian project: Strong Health, Strong Country, Minsk District

Project name: Strong Health, Strong Country! (reconstruction of the sports stadium in the town of Machulishchi, Minsk District)

Implementation period: 18 months

Applicant: the State Establishment “Minsk District Physical Culture and Sports Club “Urozhay”

Project goals:

1. To set up a modern sports stadium in the town of Machulishchi, Minsk District;
2. To meet the needs of local community for sport and family outdoor activities (the population of Machulishchi is 8,546);
3. To inspire children to go in for sports and get them off the streets;
4. To drum up the interest in a healthy lifestyle;
5. To provide local residents with an opportunity to do sport sport for free;
6. To create the conditions for physical training and sports for people with disabilities;
7. To implement the state policy in the field of physical education of the population;
8. To improve the conditions for the development of youth sports;
9. To carry out health, fitness and sports events at the district and regional levels.

Project objectives:

1. To reconstruct the stadium:
- football pitch 98x64;
- mini-football pitch 40x20;
- playground for hockey 40x20;
- basketball court;
- volleyball court;
- gymnastics ground with exercise equipment;
- running track (up to 100m);

2. To purchase and install gymnastics equipment;
3. To purchase and install two grandstands and one grandstand with a canopy;
4. To build a parking space;
5. To build an irrigation water system ;
6. To provide lighting of the hockey rink, mini-football pitch and approaches to them;
7. To landscape in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents;
8. To construct a block-module of locker rooms for two teams, a room for judges.

Target group: Children and adolescents, students, adults, people with disabilities living in the town of Machulishchi and nearby settlements.

Brief description of the project activities: Reconstruction of the stadium and the construction of a block module for locker rooms, a room for judges.
