Humanitarian project offered for co-financing
Ivatsevichi Local History Museum of the department of ideology, culture and youth affairs at the Ivatsevichi District Executive Committee, Brest Oblast is looking for sponsors.

Project name: Renovation of the partisan memorial Khovanshchina

Implementation period: 12 months

Applicant: Ivatsevichi Local History Museum of the ideology, culture and youth affairs department at the Ivatsevichi District Executive Committee, Brest Oblast

Project objective: To boost military heritage tourism, attract visitors’ attention to the war past of Belarus at the partisan memorial Khovanshchina

Goals:

  • to build dugouts;
  • to upgrade wooden houses (4 houses);
  • to reconstruct the forest school;
  • to overhaul the bridge;
  • to acquire the Partisan Communications Agent house

Target group: school children aged 6-18; youth, students aged 18-25; adults aged 26–64; elderly people, retirees aged 65 and older.

Brief description of the activities:

Replacement of concrete supports and metal structures of the bridge, repair of the wooden bridge deck, installation of double-sided railing; upgrading of wooden houses: replacement of log walls and roofs; construction of dugouts; restoration of school desks; updating of the exhibition.

Total project funding (USD): $140 000

Source of financing:

  • Donor funds: $126 000
  • Co-financing: $14 000
