Humanitarian project: A World for Everyone

Project name: A World for Everyone

Implementation period: 12 months

Applicant: State institution "Territorial Social Services Center of the City of Pinsk"

Project objective: Promoting maximum integration of people with disabilities, including wheelchair users, into the society

Project goals:

- to help disabled people adapt in modern society;
- to provide free transportation of wheelchair users to the Territorial Social Services Center for a daytime stay;
- to help people with disabilities to network and extend their social circles;
- to help persons with disabilities restore, develop and maintain their physical and mental skills, to improve  their self-service and independent life skills;
- to provide people with disabilities with a possibility to attend cultural events, to see cultural, historical and religious attractions of Belarus;
- to help people with disabilities increase their self-esteem, to achieve peace of mind and strengthen self-confidence.

Target group: 60 persons with disabilities (disability groups 1 and 2) and children with disabilities 16 and older (including wheelchair users) – customers of  daycare departments for people with disabilities in the Territorial Social Services Center.

Brief description of the activities:

- Purchasing a special vehicle with a lifting device;
- Arranging daily visits to the Territorial Social Services Center to attend classes in hobby groups;
- Arranging excursions around the cultural and historical places of the native land;
- Promoting cooperation with the territorial social services centers of Belarus in order to participate in interregional events.
