The monitoring mission of MPs from the CSTO countries is coordinated by Deputy Chairperson of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko. The observers will hold meetings with the presidential candidates and their authorized representatives, the leadership of the Belarusian Central Election Commission and heads of the two houses of the Belarusian Parliament.

The press service recalled that on the instructions of the CSTO PA Council and its Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, the international observers from the PA have been sent to monitor the presidential election at the invitation of Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly Natalya Kochanova and Chairman of the House of Representatives Igor Sergeyenko.

“On the main election day, 26 January, a delegation of CSTO PA observers will monitor the election at polling stations in Minsk, from the moment of their opening until the end of vote count,” the press service noted.
