Asked whether candidates will be able to see the text on the information posters in advance, Lidia Yermoshina replied affirmatively. “If they want to do so, they will be able to because, as a rule, we always get the general information poster and the text approved in order to rule out any consequent conflicts. I can say right away that there will be no personal remarks. The posters will contain only the objective data that the candidates themselves will provide,” stressed Lidia Yermoshina.

Asked how many candidates the CEC expects, Lidia Yermoshina said: “We are actually not making any budget allocations for that since we don’t give money for pre-election campaigning. Our only article of expense is the number of signature lists that we will give out to initiative groups. We expect ten initiative groups and each will get a number of signature lists sufficient for collecting 100,000 signatures. If the number of initiative groups is lower, then the candidates will get more signature lists.”
