Oleg Gaidukevich: One should not listen to statements that voting decides nothing

MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – One should not listen to statements that the voting does not decide anything, said Oleg Gaidukevich, proxy of candidate for the post of the President of Belarus Sergei Gaidukevich, during the televised debates on the Belarus One TV channel on 3 October, BelTA has learned.

“I would like to call on you to come to polling stations on 11 October. It is highly important. Do not listen to those who say that the election does not decide anything. It decides a lot. Your voice will be heard,” said Oleg Gaidukevich.

“Apathy and indifference destroyed a lot of countries. Take a look around. Do you think the majority of people in Ukraine and other countries wanted this chaos, revolutions and destruction? No, they did not. However, an aggressive minority is always stronger than a passive silent majority. In order to avoid such situations in your country you need to go to the polling station and cast your vote,” the politician said. In his words, it does not matter when to vote – early or on the voting day. Each voice will be heard.

According to Oleg Gaidukevich, the residents of Belarus are different people. However, they are all united by their love to the Motherland and the wish for their country to develop further. Moreover, the politician called to restrain from dividing people into those pro-government and not. He added that his party is ready to consider proposals regarding distributing posts in the government.
