Korotkevich admits many Belarusians support current government

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Former presidential candidate Tatiana Korotkevich told journalists that Alexander got more votes than she did, BelTA has learned.

“I should admit that many people in Belarus support the authorities in power,” she said.

Tatiana Korotkevich admitted that she did not receive the majority of votes. Still, she called into question the election results announced by the Central Election Commission of Belarus. She voiced her intention to appeal against voting results within three days.

Tatiana Korotkevich said she believes that the late start was her main mistake during the electoral campaign and added that “the mistakes were many”. Besides, she said that the work on the list of candidates for the next parliamentary elections For Peaceful Changes has started.

Tatiana Korotkevich has no illusions as to the possibility of being invited to join the government. “If I receive such an invitation, we will discuss it and make an agreed decision,” she noted.
