MINSK, 27 September (BelTA) - The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR) is ready to develop cooperation with Belarus, Jacques Faure, head of the OSCE/ODIHR mission that will monitor the presidential election in Belarus, said in an interview to the ONT TV Channel, BelTA has learned.

“OSCE/ODIHR established cooperation with Belarus long ago. We are ready to promote this cooperation in concrete fields. It means that our mission will stay here not only on the election day, but also within the framework of long-term cooperation with Belarus, and we are going to continue this cooperation,” the head of the observation mission said.

Jacques Faure noted that good conditions have been created for the OSCE/ODIHR mission in Belarus. He expressed hope that the atmosphere will be the same on the election day and after the election. “Our mission was invited to Belarus by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We received a very warm welcome and are grateful for it. We can approach all government bodies and get answers to many questions,” he said.
