MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – Very good conditions have been created for the work of the OSCE/ODIHR mission who came to Belarus to observe the presidential election, the head of the OSCE/ODIHR mission Jacques Faure told reporters, BelTA has learned.

"We arrived in Belarus more than two months ago and had a lot of contacts. Working in Belarus was nice and helpful. Observers of the ODIHR OSCE mission were able to meet with all the people we wanted to. We were able to ask all the questions, sometimes difficult ones. Working conditions were very good in Belarus both for the members of the mission and for me personally,” Jacques Faure stressed.

Jacques Faure visited two polling stations set up at Minsk school No. 101 tonight. He talked to members of the precinct election commissions, observers, and also examined voting booths.

According to Jacques Faure, the election process is like mosaic for observers. "Each of us sees only a certain piece, but to have a complete picture of the election we need to collect, integrate and evaluate the information. I think tomorrow morning we will have a good picture of what is happening in Belarus during the president election," he added.
