Gaidukevich: Civil behavior becomes basis for political life in Belarus

MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) – Civil behavior becomes a foundation of the political life in Belarus, candidate for the post of the President of Belarus Sergei Gaidukevich told in an interview to the ONT TV Channel on 11 October, BelTA informs.

“The presidential election took place in the country. Every candidate did his/her best. The main thing that the election showed is that we have an improved political culture. I am proud of the fact that we are united. I am proud of the fact that the election was a real celebration and that civil behavior becomes a basis for the political life in the country,” stressed Sergei Gaidukevich.

Presidential candidate Nikolai Ulakhovich noted for his part that all the candidates behaved in a civil way. “Our merit is that we did not jump at each other, neither during the televised debates, nor during any other political battles. We could not compete with such a great politician as Alexander Lukashenko. He has so much experience under his belt. This was my first campaign. Despite the fact that I was a newcomer in this area, I believe I have fulfilled my duty before the people,” he said.
