Presidential election 2015 in Belarus

MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – Documents required to register the initiative group for nominating Alexander Lukashenko as a presidential candidate were received by the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Belarus on 14 July, BelTA learned from the CEC website.

The website reads that the documents on registering an initiative group for the sake of collecting signatures of voters with a view to nominating Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko as a candidate for the presidency of the Republic of Belarus have been received by the Central Commission of the Republic of Belarus on Elections and Republican Referendums. The head of the initiative group is [head of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus] Mikhail Sergeyevich Orda.
