MOSCOW, 30 July (BelTA) - Elections are a civil responsibility to the memory of the past generations and to the future, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia Vladimir Churov said at the Minsk-Moscow video conference “70 Years of Peace: Lessons of the War and the History of the Common Victory” on 30 July, BelTA informs.
"Belarus is now preparing for an important event: the president elections," Vladimir Churov said.
But everyone understands that if 70 years ago our ancestors had not achieved victory in the Great Patriotic War, we would not be electing the Presidents of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine now. We would be electing the fascist prefect instead. The election is a civic responsibility to the past generations and the responsibility to the future, he noted.
