Ryzhenkov: Voice of every delegate of Belarusian People's Congress will be heard

GRODNO, 25 January (BelTA) - The voice of every delegate of the Belarusian People's Congress will be heard, First Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Maksim Ryzhenkov said at a meeting of the delegates of the Belarusian People's Congress from Grodno Oblast on 25 January, BelTA has learned.

The meeting summed up the results of the region's development over the past five years and also discussed the plans for the region for the next five years. Another topic of the discussion was the proposals from the region to the Belarusian People's Congress.

“Today's forum is one of the most important events in preparation for the Belarusian People's Congress in the region. It crowns the work conducted during the dialogue platforms in the region. There is something to rely on in the future work. In addition, some of your proposals have already been taken into account in the draft program of social and economic development of Belarus for 2021-2025," Maksim Ryzhenkov noted. He stressed that constructive work and proposals show that people care about the future of their enterprise, district, region and country as a whole.

“The president expects to have a sincere, frank conversation with you on any issue, and is looking forward to constructive work. Rest assured: a lot depends on the voice of each of you. And not only at the Belarusian congress but also in everyday life. You should use your authority in helping people to understand what is happening," Maksim Ryzhenkov addressed the participants.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Subbotin, Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov, MPs and local officials .

The 6th Belarusian People's Congress will take place in Minsk on 11-12 February 2021. The congress will discuss the main provisions of Belarus' social and economic development program for 2021-2025 and also the trends of the country's social and political development. The total number of the participants and invitees will be 2,700 people. Grodno Oblast will be represented by 310 delegates.
