MTZ head: People’s congress will give new impetus to Belarus’ development

MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) – The forthcoming 5th Belarusian People’s Congress will give a new impetus to the country’s development for the next five years, Director General of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) Fyodor Domotenko said at a conference in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

Fyodor Domotenko said that he attended two out of four previous congresses. They adopted important program documents. “The document to be adopted this time will be a comprehensive action plan for the country’s further development. Participants of the forum will speak on many vital issues, present their viewpoints on the currently important themes, and make their proposals,” he noted.

According to the Director General, Minsk Tractor Works has a lot of tasks to fulfill: to ramp up the production of new-generation tractors, diversify markets, increase sales. “We need to move forward, invest maximum efforts to enhance the competitive ability of our products and support decent living conditions for our people,” said Fyodor Domotenko.

The conference was attended by head of Partizansky District of Minsk Denis Ovsyanikov. He drew attention to the contribution of Minsk Tractor Works to the economy of the district and to the responsibility of the people who will participate in the landmark event.

Minsk Tractor Works was founded in 1946. It is part of the system of enterprises run by the Belarusian Industry Ministry. The company offers over 120 models and modifications of tractors and vehicles with over 200 options for all kinds of climatic and operational conditions. MTZ has assembly enterprises in Russia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China, Romania, Serbia, Algeria, Venezuela, and other countries. In 2015 the Belarusian company traded with partners from 76 countries.
