Kobyakov promises comfortable work at Belarusian People’s Congress

MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – The 5th Belarusian People’s Congress will be held in a comfortable and free atmosphere, Belarus’ Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov said in an interview to the Belarus One TV channel on 19 June, BelTA has learned.

The PM believes that the main discussion will be around the draft social and economic development program for 2016-2020. MPs will also suggest their initiatives. “The work will be comfortable and free,” noted Andrei Kobyakov.

The Belarusian head of government added that answers to the questions would be given in a maximally operational mode. For this purpose there will be formed relevant working bodies of the Belarusian People’s Congress.

Andrei Kobyakov stressed that the Belarusian People’s Congress would be a true people’s meeting to address the most important issues of the country’s development.

In his words, a total of 2,500 delegates will represent each oblast and Minsk at the Congress. Apart from that, nearly 150 guests have been invited to attend. Of them almost 100 are from foreign countries.
