Belarusian People’s Congress website receives over 300 proposals

MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) - The website of the Belarusian People's Congress vsebel.by has already received over 300 proposals. People are interested in topics such as social support, healthcare and taxation, head of the department of citizens and legal entities of the Council of Ministers Valery Ostroumov told the media on 11 January, BelTA has learned.

“The working group for receiving and processing proposals has already started analyzing proposals that come electronically to the 6th Belarusian People's Congress at the website vsebel.by. More than 300 proposals have already been received,” Valery Ostroumov said.

“These are issues related to state social support of the population, improving the quality of healthcare services, education, economic development, taxation and changes in legislation,” the representative of the Council of Ministers said.

According to him, people of different professions and ages submit proposals. “These are representatives of the social sector and the real economy. Proposals come from both veterans and young people,” he said.

Minsk citizens are among the most active sending more than half of the proposals. Minsk Oblast sent the least number of proposals among the regions.

Proposals concerning the social, political and economic development of the country will be sent to the national organizing committee of the 6th Belarusian People’s Congress. “Issues related to housing and utilities services, construction, social sector will be sent to the relevant national government bodies, local authorities and other organizations for the response and subsequent decision,” Valery Ostroumov said.

According to head of the workflow management department of the Office of the Council of Ministers Natalia Shastilovskaya, there are 14 people in the working group. “The main aim of our group is to consider all the constructive proposals and send for further analysis,” she said.
