Second European Games in Belarus

MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) – Three foreign companies are interested in broadcasting the 2019 Second European Games in Minsk. These are Medialuso-Mediapro (Portugal), ISB (Spain) and Match TV (Russia), BelTA learned from the press service of the fund of the Directorate of the Second European Games 2019.

Representatives of the Directorate of the Second European games, the National Olympic Committee, the National State TV and Radio Company of Belarus, and also interested ministries and agencies have studied the proposals of all the claimants and made the focus during the selection on a number of key factors, with price to be one of the major. During the discussion of the transfer of the broadcasting rights special attention was on the experience of broadcasting multi-sport events, the image of the company and its marketing position, the possibility for further implementation of media rights, financial guarantees.

Organizers see as an important condition to involve Belarusian specialists to get valuable experience of taking part in the European Games. All three companies are ready to provide assistance to Belarus in the matter.

The ministerial commission has worked out the relevant report to be submitted to the national organizing committee which is to decide on the company to conclude the broadcasting agreement.
