Over 30,000 people visit European Games main fan zone in Minsk daily

MINSK, 25 June (BelTA) - More than 30,000 people visit daily the main fan zone of the 2nd European Games at the Sports Palace in Minsk, Pavel Korenevsky, a leading specialist at the ceremonies and cultural program department of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC), told the media, BelTA has learned.

“We keep records of daily visits to the fan zones of the 2nd European Games. Most popular is the one at the Palace of sport. This fan zone draws more than 30,000 people daily,” Pavel Korenevsky said. Sound of music attracts residents and fans from all over Minsk. The fan zone near Chizhovka Arena draws around 7,00 people every day. With regard to the fan zone near Minsk Arena, not many people make there,” he added.

“All zones are united by the uniform concert formats: Bright Kids, Bright Folk, Bright Stage, Bright Orchestra, Bright Dance featuring best vocal and dance groups, both adults and children, best live bands, DJs, Pavel Korenevsky noted.

The fan zone near the Sports Palace hosts culture and traditions days of the countries participating in the European Games, performances of artists, theatrical and folk concerts. In addition, the Belarusian Petanque Federation and the Belarusian public association of national types of wrestling are showing their exhibition programs. A great program has been prepared for little fans in the mini fan zone organized jointly with UNICEF.

With regards to food courts, Pavel Korenevsky said that food quality is monitored daily. “Many embassies have presented their national cuisines which enjoy great popularity. We recommend everyone to taste Belarusian cuisine,” he noted.
