Lesik the Fox chatbot to enhance fan experience during European Games

MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) –  The Lesik the Fox chatbot was launched in a ceremony in the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park on 8 February, BelTA has learned.

Lesik’s profile will be available in Viber, Telegram, and Facebook Messenger thanks to the developers from the Belarusian company Synesis, a resident company of the Belarusian Hi-Tech Park.

The mascot of the European Games possesses all qualities of a perfect chatbot: he is curious, tireless, and sociable. The clever mascot speaks Russian and English, understands misprinted words, knows synonyms and specific terminology. The chatbot will provide users with customized news reports and inform them about schedules, competition results, ticket prices, sport sites location, and much more.

Lesik will not only provide information about the events of the European Games but also seek an individual approach to every user. He will be able to impress everyone. The developers said that Lesik the Fox cracks jokes, uses emoji, makes playful growls, and responds to emotions of every user.

Minsk will host the European Games on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes from 50 countries will compete in 199 medal events in 15 sports. Competitions in eight sports will serve as qualifiers for the Olympic Games 2020 in Tokyo.
