MINSK, 6 November (BelTA) – Tickets for the 2nd European Games 2019 will be affordable, head of the marketing and advertising department of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC) Maksim Koshkalda told a press conference in BelTA’s press center on 6 November.

“The cheapest ticket for sport competitions will be Br5. The most expensive ticket will cost Br50,” noted Maksim Koshkalda.

The cost of tickets for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2nd European Games will be announced later. Maksim Koshkalda noted that the preorder for the 2nd European Games 2019 exceeded 46,000 tickets. Partners and sponsors of the games have already bought more than 7,000 tickets. Organizers expect to sell tickets for 375,000 seats with an opportunity to increase them to more than 500,000 depending on the demand and popularity of the sport.

For instance, tickets for 3x3 basketball games will range in price from Br10 to Br50, wrestling and athletics from Br7 to Br30, archery from Br5 to Br15.

Ticket sale will run in several stages. Tickets for the competitions of the 2nd European Games will go on sale on 1 December 2018 and will be sold in Belarus through the website www.minsk2019.ticketpro.by and also in more than 400 ticket offices of Ticketpro, the official ticket operator and partner of the games. On 1 December 2018 the tickets will go on sale in Europe through authorized resellers (operators and agents). Under such a system, citizens of Belarus and other European countries will be able to buy them until 28 February 2019.

The second stage is scheduled for launch on 1 March 2019. Tickets will be available for purchase to citizens of any country through www.minsk2019.ticketpro.by. Late May will mark the launch of the third stage of ticket sale. About 20% of tickets are expected to be sold abroad.

Plans are in place to draw up an additional VIP program. The prices will be announced in February.
