Call to clean up local communities in Belarus in Year of Native Land

MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) - In the Year of Native Land we need to clean our communities up, Head of the Belarus President Administration Natalya Kochanova said as she met with employees of Belkoopsoyuz’s Belkoopvneshtorg company on 21 February, BelTA has learned.

“People pronounce the word ‘hometown’ with special warmth. This is the place where a person was born, lived and grew up, where he spent his formative years. In 2018, we need to tidy our country up. We need to spruce up facades, clean up neglected land, finish uncompleted construction projects, including in Minsk. In 2018, we must make our country more beautiful and landscaped. Everything depends on us,” Natalya Kochanova said.

She stressed that the greatest value of Belarus is people. During the meeting with the company's employees Natalya Kochanova talked about the main areas of the state policy: employment, wages, housing, health, demographic security, etc. “The president has set forth three major tasks regarding the economic situation in the country. These are prices, employment and salaries. The tasks remain relevant in 2018,” Natalia Kochanova said.

The head of the Belarus President Administration visited the Belkoopsoyuz’s Belkoopvneshtorg wholesale logistics center that supply goods to the Belkoopsoyuz trade network which consists of more than 8,000 stores and 700 mobile stalls. She was also given a tour of the natural fur product workshop.

Belkoopsoyuz’s Belkoopvneshtorg became the main wholesale enterprise of the Belarusian Union of Consumer Societies in April 2014. The company is engaged in the export and import of goods, wholesale and retail trade, cargo transportation, public catering, and the production and sales of fur products.
