Work in progress to sell Belarusian trolleybuses, electric buses to Serbia

MINSK, 13 February (BelTA) – Work is in progress on the possibility of selling Belarusian trolleybuses and electric buses to Serbia, BelTA learned from Ambassador of Serbia to Belarus Veljko Kovacevic on 13 February.

The ambassador sketched out prospects of cooperation in the manufacturing sector. In his words, Belarus is interested in exporting petrochemical products to Serbia as well as tractors, automobiles, metal products, lifts, tires, synthetic fibers, and ceramic products. The diplomat described cooperation in agriculture and transport as rather significant and cooperation in science, technology, and humanitarian affairs as successfully developing.

Veljko Kovacevic described Belarus-Serbia relations as traditionally friendly, well-developed, and brotherly. “Serbia and Belarus work together in all kinds of cooperation avenues. There is no area, which is closed to cooperation,” he said. The diplomat stressed that both sides are interested in keeping economic cooperation on par with the high level of political relations.

In 2018 Belarus-Serbia trade was close to $200 million.
