"We hope that thanks to direct contacts between business of the two countries we will be able to work more actively in the areas of mutual interest: oil refining, power engineering, food industry, mechanical engineering and a number of other industries," said Alex Sychev.

The forum also has a cultural program. On 8 July the Vitebsk Art Museum will host the opening of the personal exhibition of the renowned Slovak artist Pavel Pop "Tribute to the great masters" (a series of drawings-portraits created in 2008 and dedicated to the greatest artists of the world and their most famous works). On the same day the Mir cinema house will hold an evening with Slovak film actor Milan Knazko and will screen his films within the next three days. The Slovak cuisine will be presented during the Slavonic Bazaar festival, added Alexei Sychev.
