MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) - Turkish investors plan to develop business in Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of Minsk Free Economic Zone.

Possible areas of cooperation and promising business projects were discussed during a video conference between Anatoly Buben, head of the FEZ Minsk administration, and Mikail Çalışkan, President of the Association of Independent Industrialists and Entrepreneurs MUSIAD Belarus.

“We want to not only open a new production facility in Minsk but also to set an example for other Turkish entrepreneurs that Belarus has all the conditions for successful business,” Mikail Çalışkan said during the meeting.

MUSIAD has 165 representations. The organization includes more than 60,000 Turkish companies seeking to develop new markets and cooperation in trade, industry, finance and investment.

“Our main goal is to create the most comfortable conditions for investors. FEZ Minsk is one of Belarus’ most favorable doing business schemes, which gives companies the right for tax and customs benefits and preferences in construction, as well as the opportunity to take advantage of the central region of the country with a highly developed industrial potential,” said Anatoly Buben.

As BelTA reported earlier, at the international exhibition MUSIAD EXPO as part of the Belarusian-Turkish investment forum in Istanbul on 5 November 2022, the FEZ Minsk Administration and the MUSIAD association signed a memorandum. The document aims to expand and develop bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
