Tbilisi to test drive Belarusian electric bus

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian electric bus will be tested in Tbilisi, Georgia, BelTA learned from the STV TV channel.

The interest in eco-friendly vehicles is shown not only by Tbilisi but also three more cities of Georgia. All of them need to renew their public transport parks. Specialists will assess the capacity of the Belarusian electric bus in the mountainous area.

According to Chairman of the Economy Committee of the Minsk City Hall Nikolai Rogashchuk, the use of electric buses in Minsk has demonstrated lower costs of transportation per one kilometer in comparison with trolleybuses.

Minsk and Tbilisi are mulling over the production of electric buses in Georgia. Such cooperation will benefit both the sides.

The two capitals will also continue developing partnership in culture, education and housing services, exchanging investment proposals and holding business forums.
