Supercapacitor production in China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone to begin in 2018

SMOLEVICHI DISTRICT, 21 December (BelTA) – The production of supercapacitors in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone is expected to begin in 2018, BelTA learned from Alexander Yaroshenko, head of the park administration, on 21 December.

The Belarusian company Belkommunmash will use the supercapacitors to make electric buses, trolleybuses, and trams. Supercapacitors will be made by the company OOO Chengdu Xinzhu Silk Road Development. The first few supercapacitors will be made as early as 2018, said Alexander Yaroshenko.

The park administration also expects that the American company Rukhtekh will start making laser equipment in 2018, too. The company is now busy building an enterprise to make laser equipment in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.

According to Alexander Yaroshenko, the number of resident companies is expected to continue rising from 23 to 35 by the end of 2018. Several new companies will be registered as residents in early 2018. Alexander Yaroshenko stressed that the park is particularly interested in Belarusian investors. “We look forward to interesting Belarusian high-tech, innovative projects. I hope that several serious companies will enter our territory at the beginning of the year,” he said.

The park administration expects the Belarusian parliament to help bring foreign and Belarusian investors. A seminar for representatives of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus took place in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 21 December to study the park’s legal framework and its infrastructure. Ways to attract investments and set up high-tech enterprises were discussed.
