OSHMYANY DISTRICT, 10 November (BelTA) – Freight carriers who left their vehicles in waiting areas can freely leave Belarus through any checkpoint, Head of the 2nd Directorate of the State Border Committee of Belarus Ruslan Mikulich told journalists at the Kamenny Log checkpoint, BelTA reports.
“Over the past 24 hours, the other side has allowed only 75 trucks to enter its territory. Due to the large number of trucks in the area adjacent to the [Kamenny Log] checkpoint, a decision was made to relocate them to other waiting areas available for freight vehicles,” Ruslan Mikulich informed.
He recalled that, as of 9:00 a.m. on 10 November, a decision was made to halt the movement of Lithuanian trucks at existing checkpoints.
“I would like to emphasize that freight carriers who have arrived and left their vehicles in the waiting areas are free to leave the territory of the Republic of Belarus for their permanent place of residence through any checkpoint operating in the country,” concluded Ruslan Mikulich.
