MOSCOS, 30 June (BelTA) - St. Petersburg intends to purchase 125 buses from Minsk Automobile Works (MAZ trademark) ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko said at the fourth Forum of Regions of Russia and Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Georgy Poltavchenko noted that Belarusian vehicles are widely used both for passenger transportation and for municipal purposes.

According to the governor, St. Petersburg has close ties with Belarus in many areas, including in innovation and industrial manufacturing.
