Slovakia shows interest in advancing Belarusian medicines to European market

VITEBSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Slovakia is showing interest in advancing Belarusian medications to the European market, Slovakia’s Minister of Health Tomas Drucker said at the meeting with Vitebsk Oblast Vice Governor Vladimir Belous on 15 November, BelTA has learned.

“We are interested in the presence of Belarusian medicines on the European market and will do everything possible to make this happen,” Tomas Drucker stressed.

He took note of the importance of joint projects in healthcare that are implemented at Nativita Company in Beshenkovichi. “Such cooperation is of great importance for enhancing mutual competitiveness of Belarus and Slovakia. Joint projects in research activities, education and other sectors can be successful as well,” the minister stressed. The interest in strengthening cooperation was emphasized at the constructive dialogue which was held in Minsk on 14 November, he added.

Vitebsk Oblast Vice Governor Vladimir Belous expressed gratitude to the Slovak delegation for attention to strengthening bilateral relations and also got them familiar with the biggest investment projects that were implemented in the region this year.

The Slovak delegation that is on a visit to Vitebsk Oblast has also comprised Slovakia’s Ambassador to Belarus Jozef Migas, Chairman of the Health Committee of the National Council Stefan Zelnik, representatives of the Health Committee of the National Council, the Department of International Relations and European Affairs, the pharmaceutics, medicine policy and other sectors of the Health Ministry. On 15 November they are expected to visit the Vitebsk State Medical University and Nativita Company.
