Seven companies become start-up residents of Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park

MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – The business incubator of Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park has chosen its first seven start-up residents, BelTA learned from the press service of the Hi-Tech Park.

The selection criteria were as follows: to be registered as a legal entity and an individual entrepreneur in Belarus for no more than three years, to fit into the scope of activities of the Hi-Tech Park, and also develop and promote self-designed products and/or services.

Belarusian IT experts chose seven most promising projects out of more than two dozen start-ups. The winners include iDiscount, BIT animation, Eventer, MetricsCat, MeetnGreetMe, SplitMetrics, and individual entrepreneur Artur Vorushilo.

The selected start-ups will have a chance to rent space at the business incubator of Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park on special terms for several years. Each company will get a personal mentor and also expert support and advice from successful businessmen, mentors and top managers of the companies that are residents of the Hi-Tech Park. Besides, the start-ups will get assistance with attracting venture capital investment.

“The business incubator of Belarus’ Hi-Tech Park provides practical support to start-up companies designing their own products and also facilitates the development of an innovative IT environment in Belarus. We have set up a platform for successful launch and development of technology projects,” said Yuri Sudarev, the head of the business incubator. He believes that many of the selected projects will acquire the status of a resident in the Hi-Tech Park thanks to the support from the incubator.
