Russian UTair airline to resume flights to Minsk on 1 March

MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) - The Russian UTair airline plans to resume international flights from Moscow (Vnukovo) to Minsk on 1 March, BelTA learned from UTair’s external communications department.

"The company will perform flights twice a day using a Boeing 737-500 (business and economy class seats) according to schedule," the company informed. The airline is the only air carrier to perform flights from Minsk to Vnukovo Airport.

The journey time between the two capitals will be 1 hour 20 minutes. The minimum ticket price is RUB3,127.

“UTair continues to develop its route network to include promising international destinations. Thanks to the launch of the new flight, residents of most cities of the country will be able to comfortably go to Minsk or, using the convenient connection flights of other airlines, to continue their journey to Europe and the CIS, including Ukraine,” president of the UTair – Passenger Airline Aleksei Budnik was quoted as saying.

The UTair airline is the core of the same-name group which includes companies engaged in the operation of air vessels (aircraft and helicopters), repair and maintenance of aircraft. In 2014 UTair group carried 11,204,598 passengers. Currently, the airline flies to 110 destinations. Its fleet includes more than 70 aircraft. The airline’s main hub is Vnukovo International Airport, Moscow.
