Russia to restore oil deliveries; Belarus to annul transit tariff increase

MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) - Russia will restore the previous volume of oil deliveries to Belarus, and Belarus will annul a decision to raise the oil transit tariff. The relevant agreement was reached between the parties, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko told the media, BelTA has learned.

“We have settled all current issues. You know that half of oil supplies to Belarus was blocked in Q3. We were supposed to get 6 million tonnes, but were only getting 3 million tonnes. Now everything will be restored. By 20 October Russia will restore the oil supplies back to the previous volume so that our oil refineries could operate at full capacity,” the Vice Premier noted.

“We have also met our Russian counterparts halfway. Not long ago we raised tariffs for oil transit. We will annul the increase and get back to the tariffs that were valid as of 1 October,” Vladimir Semashko said.
