MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – Registrations rules have been changed for the EU road carriers getting permits on the territory of Belarus, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry.

“On 10 October 2022, EU road carriers got an opportunity to obtain a permit for the international carriage of goods through our country in the Transport Inspectorate of the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry. The registration rules for the EU road carriers getting Belarusian permits have been changed,” the ministry’s press service said.

First, it is necessary to register as a road carrier of a foreign country (European Union) in the automated system for issuing permits, then authorize a personal profile. Secondly, it is necessary to issue an invoice in the automated system for the number of permits applied for and pay for the order using the specified details. The cost of registration of such permits is 15 basic units (now one basic unit is Br32). Third, it is necessary to apply for permits to one of the subdivisions of the Transport Inspectorate branches in Minsk and regional centers.

The Transport and Communications Ministry added that the possibility of obtaining permits in Belarus runs concurrently with the norms of the Council of Ministers Decree No. 247 “On the movement of vehicles” of 22 April 2022. Thus, the rule for foreign carriers to deliver cargo for subsequent reloading or reattaching in a specially designated area remains in place.

The procedure for the use of permits to travel through the territory of the country, transferred by the Belarusian side to the competent authorities of foreign states, has also been preserved.
