Prospects for new deliveries of Belarusian equipment to Indonesia discussed in JakartaMINSK, 18 October (BelTA) - Prospects for new deliveries of Belarusian equipment were discussed during a working visit of the Belarusian delegation headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas to Indonesia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

Andrei Dapkiunas met with the leadership of the BelAZ trading house and the Indonesian partner company. The parties discussed the status of the project to supply 40 hauler trucks to Indonesia and the prospects for new deliveries of Belarusian equipment.

The deputy minister also met with the leadership of the Regional Representative Council of the People's Consultative Assembly. The parties explored the ways of developing the Belarusian-Indonesian inter-parliamentary dialogue, strengthening political contacts and expanding economic cooperation and also discussed the exchange of visits at the level of the heads of the upper houses of parliaments.

The Belarusian delegation attended a Belarusian-Indonesian business forum held under the auspices of the chambers of commerce of the two countries. Belarus presented its opportunities in trade, economy and investment, export capacities of major enterprises of the country, including the Belarusian Potash Company, BelAZ, MTZ and MAZ automakers, Belshina tire producer, Belarusian Oil Trading House, and Verkhnedvinsk Creamery.

Negotiations between representatives of the business circles of Belarus and Indonesia discussed the development of mutually beneficial cooperation. Following the forum agreements were reached to bolster bilateral trade.
