Prospects for cooperation between Belarusian scientists, Turkish manufacturers discussed

MINSK, 7 April (BelTA) – Prospects for cooperation between Belarusian scientists and Turkish manufacturers were discussed during the working visit of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey Andrei Savinykh to Istanbul, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Andrei Savinykh met with representatives of several companies that are residents of an organized industrial zone located in the Anatolian part of Istanbul. “During the meeting, the parties discussed matters related to the transfer of technologies and the setting up of plants to assemble Belarusian vehicles in Turkey. They also talked over the possibility of establishing innovative cooperation between Belarusian scientists and Turkish manufacturers,” the press service said.

Turkish businessmen were briefed about the investment climate in Belarus and the terms for setting up manufacturing facilities at the China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone, free economic zones, and small and medium-sized towns. The parties exchanged views on the most promising areas of cooperation.

The working visit of Andrei Savinykh to Istanbul will run through 8 April. The ambassador is expected to meet with businessmen in the organized industrial zones specializing in the production of leather, chemical goods, machinery and vehicle parts and components.
