MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) - Belarus intends to intensify cooperation with its partners in the CIS, Belarus’ Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin told journalists following his report to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.

The discussion with the head of state touched upon export activities, among other topics. “In the near future, we will focus on the countries that are our closest partners: the CIS countries. First and foremost, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, which are two very large economies and our long-standing partners,” Aleksandr Turchin emphasized.

Unfortunately, cooperation with CIS countries has not been at its best in recent times, he noted. Therefore, two government delegations are planning to visit these countries in November 2025 in order to give a new impetus to bilateral relations. “These are countries that are close to us, and we understand each other very well. We have excellent relations on the level of our leaders and our governments. This is why we should take our cooperation to the level that matches our political relations,” the prime minister stressed.
