PM: Belarus, Russia can achieve import independence in agricultural machinery industry

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) - Belarus and Russia have enough joint competences, knowledge and experience to achieve maximum import independence in agricultural machinery industry in the Union State, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said as he met with Director General of Russia's Kirovsky Zavod group, Chairman of the Board of the Progress Union of Industrialists Sergey Serebryakov, BelTA learned.

“The Progress Union of Industrialists was established in 2022,” Roman Golovchenko pointed out. “Its mission is to expand constructive cooperation between manufacturers of Belarus and Russia.”

A lot has already been done on this path in terms of the development of cooperative supplies, the prime minister noted. At the same time, Belarus and Russia have enough joint competencies, knowledge and experience to achieve maximum import independence in agricultural machinery in the Union State.

“It is very important to pursue a joint coordinated policy in order to achieve the main goals: to become fully self-sufficient in agricultural machinery industry,” Roman Golovchenko stated.
