Plans to present Belarus’ economic, investment potential at forum in China

MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Yelena Perminova intends to take part in a forum of business cooperation of China, Belarus, and the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 27 March. A presentation of Belarus’ economic and investment potential will be arranged during the forum, the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry told BelTA.

Meetings and negotiations with representatives of Chinese government agencies and private institutions are expected to take place during the forum.

Yelena Perminova is now in China on a working trip. She has already met with experts of the Chinese Commerce Ministry to discuss preparations for a forum on China-Belarus cooperation and regional development within the framework of the Belt and Road initiative. The event is supposed to take place in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone on 1-3 July 2019.

The Belarusian deputy economy minister also took part in a session of the board of directors and an annual general meeting of shareholders of SZAO Industrial Park Development Company. Participants of the session summed up results of the company’s work in 2018, sketched out plans for 2019, including the construction of the necessary infrastructure, ways to bring in major resident companies, and increase the volume of investments.
