MINSK, 17 January (BelTA) - The Belarusian Industry Ministry will showcase its most advanced technology at the International Industrial Trade Fair Innoprom, Belarusian Deputy Minister Dmitry Kharitonchik said at a working meeting held on 17 January to discuss the organization of the forum, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Industry Ministry.

According to Dmitry Kharitonchik, Belarus will be a partner country of the exhibition. The Industry Ministry is a co-organizer of the exhibition. “It is necessary to represent the country well, to show all its best achievements and to ensure a high organizational level for the forum,” the deputy minister said.

He added that Belarus’ participation in Innoprom as a partner-country would give an additional powerful stimulus for the expansion of industrial and technological cooperation between the two countries.

The Belarusian exposition on the total area of about 2,000 square meters will cover three sections: industrial production, industrial cooperation and import substitution. The best models and advanced technology will be showcased by the flagships of the Belarusian industry: MAZ, BelAZ, Gomselmash, MMZ, AMKODOR, Bobruiskagromash, BKM-Holding, BMZ, Integral, Mogilevliftmash, BATE, Gorizont, Atlant, machine tool companies and others.

According to the deputy minister, a possibility is worked out jointly with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Standing Committee of the Belarus-Russia Union State to make a thematic presentation on the Union State projects.

Contracts are expected to be signed between Belarusian and Russian companies at the forum.

The International Industrial Trade Fair Innoprom has been held annually in Yekaterinburg since 2010. It is the main industrial, trade and export platform in Russia. This year the forum will be held in Yekaterinburg on 10-13 July. Its main topic is Sustainable Production: Renovation Strategies. On the intellectual platform, business and government leaders will offer their solutions to overcome risks and threats.

Belarus is a long-term partner of the exhibition. Mutually beneficial cooperation of the allied states strengthens technological sovereignty and expands trade and economic potential of both countries. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and the Industry Ministry of Belarus are actively working on a wide range of industrial issues. New production chains are formed and high-tech and science-intensive projects are implemented in such priority areas as agricultural machine-building, automotive industry, machine-tool construction, radioelectronics, pharmaceutical, light and chemical industry, power engineering and many other areas.

“Belarusian companies always take an active part in Innoprom exhibitions. I am confident that the exposition of the partner country in 2023 will meet the boldest expectations and demonstrate the technological potential of Belarus to the visitors of the exhibition,” Program Director of Innoprom Anton Atrashkin said.

The exposition of the partner country is one of the key features of the exhibition. Kazakhstan was a partner country in 2022, Italy in 2021. Turkiye, the Republic of Korea, India, Japan, and China had this status in previous years.
