The signing of a Letter of Intent to build a mineral fertilizer manufacturing facility in Mstislavl District

MOGILEV, 14 May (BelTA) – Letters of Intent to implement investment projects in Mogilev Oblast, valued at over Br250 million, were signed during the international economic forum Mill of Success in Mogilev, BelTA has learned.

Chairman of the Mogilev Oblast Executive Committee Anatoly Isachenko signed letters of intent with company directors to establish new production facilities – four in total.

Specifically, plans include establishing a turkey breeding and meat processing complex in Klimovichi District, and constructing a mineral fertilizer manufacturing complex in Mstislavl District. In Bobruisk, a new sports and wellness center will be built on Ulyanovskaya Street. Furthermore, a project at the Free Economic Zone Mogilev will launch the production of cellulose-based nonwoven materials with the addition of natural (viscose) or synthetic (polyester) fibers.

According to the regional executive committee, the implementation of these investment projects will create approximately 530 new jobs.

The Belsalttrade company will implement the investment project for turkey breeding and meat processing in Klimovichi District. According to the company’s Director General Piotr Kravchenko, launching the new facility will efficiently supply products to Mogilev Oblast, Vitebsk Oblast, and Gomel Oblast, cutting transportation costs and thereby lowering retail prices. Furthermore, the location of Klimovichi District provides direct access to the Russian market.

Piotr Kravchenko also noted the professionalism and clear approach to work of Klimovichi District’s leadership: they are fully focused on development and provide prompt assistance in resolving all issues. “The first stage of the project has been successfully completed. Finding a site that would fully meet the company’s technical and economic interests proved to be a challenging task – we thoroughly studied many options before making a choice,” he said. “We are now moving to practical steps. Additions to the presidential decree on the development of the southeastern part of Mogilev Oblast are expected shortly. In parallel, we have already begun a detailed study of the land plot allocated for construction. The next strategic step will be the registration of a new legal entity directly in Klimovichi, which will allow us to officially become a resident of the regional development program and benefit from all the prescribed preferences.”
